Cost of Obesity in the USA in 2018

As per a report published by the organization Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease (PFCD), if the current trends of rise in the rate of obesity continue, then the cost related to obesity would quadruple to $344 billion in 2018.

If the current trends are to continue, obesity is set to gulp down nearly 43% of the American population in 2018. The report, however, states that if the current obesity rates stabilize, then America could save nearly $200 billion in the cost of healthcare.
